Simple, flavorful, and perfect for the grill or pan

These shrimp skewers are a feast on any plate. The combination of tropical shrimp, mild lime, and roasted garlic creates a full, fresh flavor with a gentle kick. Perfect as an appetizer, starter, or side dish for barbecues, but also suitable for a regular weekday meal prepared in a pan.
Ingredients
(makes 8 skewers)
250 grams tropical shrimp
8 cloves of garlic
1 green bell pepper 3 tablespoons olive oil
1 lime Salt and pepper to taste
8 skewers (preferably wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Description
Make the marinade by crushing half of the garlic (four cloves) into a bowl.
- Add the juice of 1 lime, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice the remaining garlic thinly and cut the bell pepper into large, bite-sized pieces.
- Heat a splash of olive oil in a pan and gently sauté the garlic slices and bell pepper pieces until they start to color lightly.
- Remove the shrimp from the marinade and thread alternately with bell pepper pieces onto the skewers. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Grill the skewers on a hot barbecue, grill pan, or in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp are perfectly cooked.
- Serve warm, optionally with the remaining marinade as a sauce. Delicious with a fresh salad or lemon rice.
Enjoy your meal!
