Surf & Turf with Tropical Shrimp and Steak

A festive dish that brings together the best of two worlds. Succulent steak and seasoned tropical shrimp. Perfect for a dinner with that extra touch of flair.

Ingredients

(serves 2)

3 tablespoons wok oil
half a teaspoon chili flakes
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
300 grams tropical shrimp
400 grams steak
Salt and pepper

Description

  1. Combine the wok oil with the chili flakes, garlic, and lemon juice. Add the shrimp and let them marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Pat the steaks dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat a little oil or butter in a pan and sear the steaks over high heat to your desired doneness. After cooking, let the meat rest under aluminum foil.
  3. Heat a pan and cook the marinated shrimp for about 1 minute per side, or until they are nicely pink and lightly caramelized.
  4. Slice the steak and divide between two plates. Place the shrimp next to or on top. Serve with a fresh salad, fries, or grilled vegetables of your choice.
