Tapas Shrimp with Garlic and Red Pepper

These tapas shrimp are easy to make and packed with flavor. The combination of garlic, red pepper, and a hint of cayenne provides a spicy yet balanced bite. Serve them in small dishes. Perfect for drinks, tapas evenings, or as a preview of the rest of the dinner.

Ingredients

(for 4 dishes)

400 grams of tropical shrimp
4 cloves of garlic
1 red chili pepper
3 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil
Cayenne pepper to taste
Pepper and salt
Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Description

  1. Slice the garlic into thin slices.
  2. Remove the seeds from the red pepper (for less heat) and cut into fine rings.
  3. Place the shrimp in a large bowl.
  4. Add the garlic slices, chili pepper, and olive oil.
  5. Season with a pinch of cayenne pepper, pepper, and salt.
  6. Mix everything well to distribute the flavors evenly.
  7. Divide the marinated shrimp among four (tapas) dishes.
  8. Garnish generously with fresh parsley.
  9. Serve immediately or let stand for a while to allow the flavors to develop. It’s also delicious to warm the dishes in the oven or on the barbecue for a warm version.
